Capital Ship Management Corp. receives the ‘Green Environmental Achievement Award” for 2014 by the Port of Long Beach
Athens, Greece, April 9, 2015. The ‘Green Environmental Achievement Award” was today presented to Capital Ship Management Corp. by the Port of Long Beach in Southern California, U.S.A.
This award is being granted to operators that called the Port of Long Beach in 2014 and demonstrated that 90% or more of all its vessel trips complied with the Green Flag – Voluntary Vessel Speed Reduction Program.
Capital Ship Management Corp. takes delivery of M/T Active
Athens, Greece, March 31, 2015. Capital Ship Management Corp. took successful delivery of the newbuilding vessel M/T Active from Samsung Heavy Industries (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. in China today. The M/T Active is a 50,000 dwt, IMO II/III Eco Chemical/Product Tanker. It is the first of eight super-efficient new sister ships with eco-friendly design to be delivered between 2015 and 2016.

Capital Ship Management Corp. receives the Amver ‘Special Rescue Award’ by the U.S. Coast Guard
Athens, Greece, October 31, 2014. The Amver ‘Special Rescue Award’ was awarded to Capital Ship Management Corp and the Shipmaster of M/T Arionas, Captain Christian Manole, for the successful rescue of 163 migrants on June 7, 2014 south of Malta.
It was a major rescue operation, as 163 migrants in distress on board two inflatable boats were safely accommodated on the vessel’s deck and provided with all necessary provisions (water, food, blankets etc.) and disembarked in Augusta Port in Sicily, the next day, June 8, 2014.
